Job summary

Domtar is seeking an Assistant Mill Controller in Nekoosa, WI to support the Mill Controller in managing accounting and purchasing operations at the site. The role requires analyzing complex financial data, driving cost reduction opportunities, and ensuring timely financial reporting for the Nekoosa Mill.

The position involves coordinating month-end close, partnering with department leaders on financial data, leading annual budget and quarterly forecasts, and producing detailed reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required or equivalent
• Minimum 7–10 years in finance/accounting with manufacturing experience
• CMA certification or MBA preferred will be advantageous
• ERP experience, SAP preferred, and strong Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate in month-end close, maintain close checklist, prepare entries and reconciliations
• Partner with department leaders to provide financial data for cost savings and capex justifications
• Lead annual budget and quarterly forecasts including labor, energy, raw materials
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and analyses
• Support audit, tax, and government reporting requirements
• Identify cost trends and drive process improvements across the site
