Dollar Tree in Urbana, IL is looking for a Merchandise Assistant Manager to partner with the Store Manager and lead a dynamic team of associates in delivering great customer experiences. You will focus on merchandising, freight processing, and day-to-day store operations.

Key duties include opening/closing procedures, safeguarding assets, maintaining cleanliness, stocking merchandise, and planning monthly sales initiatives while promoting a positive, fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Capable of working in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Assist Store Manager with freight flow and merchandising.
• Plan, merchandise, and implement monthly Sales Planners.
