Job summary

Plymouth State University seeks an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach to join the Panthers coaching staff. The successful candidate will support all aspects of the program while fostering a competitive, student-athlete-centered environment.

Responsibilities include planning and conducting practices, assisting with game prep and recruiting, mentoring student-athletes, and supporting program operations and community engagement in alignment with NCAA Division III standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience in coaching, playing, recruiting or related area.
• Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals and player development.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with student-athletes, coaches and university community.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily basketball operations and program administration.
• Plan and conduct practices, workouts, and team training sessions.
• Assist with game preparation, scouting, film breakdown and in-game coaching.
• Recruit prospective student-athletes in line with NCAA and university rules.
• Support academic progress and personal development of student-athletes.
• Assist with travel, equipment, scheduling and other administrative duties.
• Participate in fundraising, alumni engagement and community outreach.
