Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Assist with all aspects of daily basketball operations and program administration.
  • Plan and conduct practices, individual workouts, skill-development sessions, and team training.
  • Assist with game preparation, scouting, film breakdown, and in-game coaching.
  • Recruit prospective student‑athletes in accordance with NCAA, conference, and University regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and current student‑athletes.
  • Assist with recruiting visits, communication, evaluations, and admissions coordination.
  • Monitor and support student‑athlete academic progress, personal development, and overall well‑being.
  • Assist with travel arrangements, equipment management, scheduling, and other administrative responsibilities.
  • Participate in fundraising, alumni engagement, community outreach, camps, clinics, and other program initiatives.
  • Represent Plymouth State University and the men’s basketball program professionally and positively.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Men’s Basketball Coach.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Previous basketball coaching, playing, recruiting, or related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategy, and player development.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with student‑athletes, coaches, administrators, and members of the University community.
  • Commitment to the academic success and personal development of student‑athletes.
Preferred
  • Collegiate coaching experience.
  • Experience with recruiting and talent evaluation.
  • Experience with video analysis and scouting software.
  • Experience working with NCAA Division III athletics.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop individual players and build strong team culture.

Compensation Pay Range: $15 /hour

Salary Grade: Adjunct Hourly Staff 00
