Job summary

Centre College in Danville, KY is seeking an assistant coach for the NCAA Division III men’s lacrosse program. Under the supervision of Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach, you will assist in coaching, recruiting, and program administration to help develop student-athletes and compete at a high level.

Bachelor’s degree and collegiate coaching experience are required; CPR/AED/First-Aid certifications will be provided as part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with previous collegiate experience as a player or a coach.
• Previous collegiate coaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing, preparing and conducting practices, training, and competition
• Recruit student-athletes in accordance with all Centre College, Southern Athletic Association, and NCAA rules and regulations
• Assist in directing all aspects of the team
• Assist with the holistic development of men’s lacrosse student-athletes
• Represent the program and the College to students, parents, alumni, and the general public
• Assist in managing the daily operations and administration facets of the men’s lacrosse program – including but not limited to – field maintenance and set-up
• Actively participate in department-wide fundraising initiatives
• Assist in all duties as assigned by the Head Coach or the Director of Athletics
• Secondary duty to be assigned at a later date
• Contribute to the overall success of the department by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned
