Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant Coach for Men's and Women's Tennis to join our vibrant athletic department. As an integral part of our coaching staff, you will support the head coach in training athletes, organizing practices, and enhancing the overall team experience. Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing daily practice sessions for both men's and women's tennis teams, focusing on skill development, strategy, and fitness.
• Support team members during matches by providing tactical advice, encouragement, and ensuring proper sportsmanship.
• Help coordinate team travel arrangements, schedules, and equipment management to ensure smooth operations.
• Foster a positive environment by engaging with student-athletes, promoting teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
• Contribute to athlete development through sports-specific training instruction and behavior management techniques.
• Maintain open communication with players, parents, and staff to support athlete well-being and academic success.
• Support health and safety protocols by assisting with first aid procedures, AED operation, and adherence to all safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children or student-athletes in a coaching or teaching capacity.
• Demonstrated sports coaching experience in tennis or related sports such as soccer, basketball, cheerleading, climbing, or martial arts like karate or judo.
• Knowledge of sports-specific training instruction methods and team leadership skills.
• Certification in first aid and CPR; AED operation certification preferred.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with athletes, parents, staff, and other stakeholders.
• Experience teaching physical education or working in health clubs or gyms is advantageous.
• Ability to manage behavior effectively while fostering a motivating environment for students of all skill levels.
