Carmichael Lynch is seeking an Assistant Media Planner to support the media planning process for assigned clients. You will assist in preparing, developing, and monitoring media plans, and help execute buys in the system while reconciling discrepancies with media partners.

The role emphasizes disciplined thinking, initiative to learn, and strong collaboration within the team. In-office presence is required, with a focus on delivering measurable client results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with digital media planning and program management is preferred.
  • Solid mathematical abilities and understanding of marketing principles.

Job Subfunction: Media Planning and Buying

Role: The Assistant Media Planner is responsible for assisting planners in the preparation, development, execution and monitoring of media plans for assigned clients. This role is also responsible for executing buys in the system, managing the financial aspects of contracts, and reconciling any discrepancies with the media. In addition, this role is responsible to support business improvement by meeting personal and departmental goals and objectives timely and effectively.

Day-to-day responsibilities of the Assistant Media Planner include but are not limited to:

Qualifications/Traits
  1. Education:
    • a. A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  2. Skills and Experience:
    • a. Some experience with digital media planning and program management preferred – especially data driven and/or programmatic media
    • b. Demonstrates knowledge about agency media function and core responsibilities
    • c. Demonstrates initiative, curiosity, and problem-solving skills
    • d. Proficient in business / marketing principles
    • e. Solid mathematical abilities required.
    • f. Experience delivering programs from hypothetical to flawless real-world execution is a plus.

Salary Range: $45,000 - 50,000 annually

Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.
