Job summary

Bandon Dunes Golf Resort is seeking an Assistant Mechanic to learn hands-on maintenance for golf course equipment. You will work with our agronomy team’s mechanics to keep mowers, reels, and utility vehicles running, enabling our grounds crew to deliver pristine playing conditions.

You will gain hands-on skills in welding, fabrication, and diagnostics while being supported by an experienced team in a shop environment on the Oregon coast.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude for repair work and problem solving.
• Hands-on experience with tools and equipment preferred.
• Ability to learn on the job and grow technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspecting golf course equipment for operating issues and repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance: service, lubricate, adjust equipment to keep it running.
• Support with reels, blades, and blade grinding adjustments as needed.
• Assist with tire service and changes.
• Keep the shop organized and maintain records of service work.
• Learn welding, fabrication, and diagnostics from experienced mechanics.
