Job summary

Northeast Grocery is seeking a meat department team member in Gouverneur, NY. The role supports the meat manager, maintains meat preparation, and serves customers with a focus on quality and sanitation. You will cut meat per specs, ensure freshness, and help drive sales in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service and courtesy on an ongoing basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years of age.Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.Ability to pass a cutting test.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Satisfactory performance reviews. Basic computer skills. Strong communication skills. High School Degree or equivalent. 6-12 months of related experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Exposure to Cold Environment Constant 5-8 Hours

Pivoting Constant 5-8 Hours

Pushing/Pulling Constant 5-8 Hours up to 75lbs

Squatting/Kneeling Occasional 1-3 Hours

Lifting Frequent 3-5 Hours up to 50lbs

Pushing/Pulling Occasional 1-3 Hours up to 2400lbs
