Northeast Grocery is seeking a Meat Department Associate to provide fast, friendly service and ensure cold-chain integrity. You will cut meat per specs, manage duties in the absence of the meat manager, and uphold sanitation guidelines to promote quality and sales.

Requirements include 18+ years, basic computer and strong communication skills, HS diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass a cutting test with 6–12 months related experience. Physical work includes cold environments and lifting.

Provides fast, friendly service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for the operation of the meat department in the absence of the meat manager. Cuts all meat in accordance with trim "specs" and guidelines and ensures the quality and freshness of product in the meat case to promote optimal opportunity for sales. Responsible for providing excellent customer service (both internally and externally) and courtesy on an on-going basis. Must adhere to all sanitation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years of age.Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.Ability to pass a cutting test.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Satisfactory performance reviews. Basic computer skills. Strong communication skills. High School Degree or equivalent. 6-12 months of related experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Exposure to Cold Environment Constant 5-8 Hours

Pivoting Constant 5-8 Hours

Pushing/Pulling Constant 5-8 Hours up to 75lbs

Squatting/Kneeling Occasional 1-3 Hours

Lifting Frequent 3-5 Hours up to 50lbs

Pushing/Pulling Occasional 1-3 Hours up to 2400lbs
