Job summary

Northeast Grocery is seeking a team member to support the meat department in Burlington, VT. The role focuses on delivering fast, friendly customer service while ensuring meat products are cut per spec and kept fresh.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly service to Price Chopper customers on an ongoing basis.
• Operate the meat department in the absence of the meat manager.
• Cut all meat in accordance with trim specs and guidelines and ensure quality and freshness to promote sales.

Provides fast, friendly service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for the operation of the meat department in the absence of the meat manager. Cuts all meat in accordance with trim "specs" and guidelines and ensures the quality and freshness of product in the meat case to promote optimal opportunity for sales. Responsible for providing excellent customer service (both internally and externally) and courtesy on an on-going basis. Must adhere to all sanitation guidelines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years of age.Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.Ability to pass a cutting test.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Satisfactory performance reviews. Basic computer skills. Strong communication skills. High School Degree or equivalent. 6-12 months of related experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Exposure to Cold Environment Constant 5-8 Hours

Pivoting Constant 5-8 Hours

Pushing/Pulling Constant 5-8 Hours up to 75lbs

Squatting/Kneeling Occasional 1-3 Hours

Lifting Frequent 3-5 Hours up to 50lbs
