The Department of Transportation and Public Works offers an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Laboratory Manager in the Construction Materials Lab, located in Maryland Heights. This role involves coordinating Materials Lab testing and inspection activities, supervising subordinate lab staff, and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and specifications.
The annual starting salary ranges from $74,401 to $89,273, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include affordable medical insurance, 20 days of PTO in the first year (increasing with seniority), 11-12 paid holidays, paid parental leave, a Wellness Plan, life insurance, retirement plans, 457 Deferred Compensation Plan, pre-tax premium pay, dependent care and medical expense reimbursement plans, and short and long-term disability insurance. Assist IT with hardware, software, and database maintenance; perform other duties as assigned.
Registration as a Professional Engineer or Architect in Missouri with five years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience. Valid driver's license required. Construction material testing experience, certifications, and supervisory experience are preferred.
