Job summary

StorageMart in Urbandale, IA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, lead customer service, and help manage accounts and daily facilities. You will travel between locations as needed to maintain standards and ensure a safe, friendly environment for guests and their belongings.

Ideal candidates have retail or administrative experience, strong communication skills, and a hands-on attitude.

Qualifications

• Retail sales and administrative experience is a plus (training provided).
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities to address customer needs.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to work outdoors and maintain grounds.
• A valid driver’s license, valid insurance, and vehicle with mileage reimbursed for travel between stores.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Operations: Collaborate with the Store Manager to enhance business growth and maximize sales.
• Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: Engage with customers via phone, in person, and email.
• Maintain Our Facility: Open, operate, and close the office; light maintenance and cleaning.
• Manage Accounts: Handle customer accounts, assist with setup, oversee administrative tasks including debt management.
• Travel Between Locations: Occasionally support other stores while maintaining standards.
