Job summary

Hamilton Beach Brands, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager for U.S. Distribution at the Byhalia Distribution Center. You will oversee daily operations across Receiving, Returns, and QA/Non-Conforming areas, leading supervisors and hourly staff to meet productivity and quality targets.

You will allocate labor, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure regulatory and process compliance while driving inventory accuracy and cost control in a dynamic warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of distribution center experience.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations for Receiving, Returns, Value Added Service Requests (VASR), and Non-Conforming departments.
• Lead and support supervisors, coordinators, and hourly employees to ensure productivity, quality, and service goals are met.
• Allocate labor and resources to meet operational demands and performance objectives.
• Coordinate with internal departments and corporate teams to manage inbound containers, returns, special projects, customer requests, and inventory issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, including FDA, FTZ, CTPAT, and audit standards.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and integrity through proper receiving, documentation, and process controls.
• Coach, train, and develop supervisors and team members, providing performance feedback and fostering employee growth.
• Manage workflow priorities to meet customer expectations and ensure timely processing of products and orders.
• Monitor departmental expenses and labor utilization while supporting business objectives.
