Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the Center Manager to run the center, drive sales, control costs, and deliver strong customer service. You will lead operations in the manager’s absence, hire and train staff, manage safety, and promote products and services.

Starting salary is in the $70K–$75K range, with potential for higher compensation for the right candidate.

Qualifications

One year of previous management experience.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
Ability to relocate based on the needs of the business and personal development for the role.

Responsibilities

Assist the Center Manager in the management of the location.
Direct the activities of the store in the absence of the center manager to attain sales results and profit objectives.
Assist the Center Manager with hiring, training, and managing associates.
Assist the sales and service departments.
Operate the center in the absence of the center manager, ensuring adherence to standards and protection of assets.
Enforce company policies and procedures.
Provide "Service Excellence, Always" to meet location goals and customer needs.
Communicate work assignments to associates.
Assist in ensuring proper staffing levels with qualified personnel.
Assist with safety, health, and environmental issues.
Perform a variety of manual tasks, including lifting tires and wheels.
