Job summary

Tim Hortons in the United States seeks an Assistant Manager to help run daily restaurant operations, uphold standards for people, product, cleanliness and guest experience, and drive sales and profit growth. You will assist in recruiting, training and developing staff while monitoring performance and safety policies.

The role involves supporting budgets, scheduling, and ensuring consistent guest satisfaction across shifts, with a focus on safe, efficient operations and team development.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing all aspects of a Tim Hortons restaurant’s operation to ensure standards around people, product, cleanliness and guest experience are fulfilled.
• Support the Restaurant Manager in recruiting, training and developing team members and providing performance feedback.
• Help build bench strength by identifying and developing high potential employees for progression.
• Communicate with all shifts on day-to-day operations and key focus areas; enforce security and safety procedures.
• Assist with budgeting, cost control and achieving sales and transaction targets including Food/Paper/Labor costs.
• Ensure high standards of guest experience and resolve guest complaints to positive resolutions.
• Oversee team scheduling to ensure adequate coverage across shifts and peak times.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and applicable legislation; participate in incident investigations.
