Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Yazoo City, MS to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, merchandise organization, and compliance with corporate directives.

The role requires strong communication and people skills, the ability to lift light to moderate loads, and a focus on safety and loss prevention. A high school diploma is preferred and retail experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise transfer from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and records including payroll and scheduling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Ensure policies, procedures and safety guidelines are followed.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
