Job summary

GPM Investments’ Scotchman store in Hampstead, NC is hiring an Assistant Manager. The role requires dependable leadership, open availability, and the ability to work weekends and late shifts. Qualifications

• Open Availability: weekends, holidays, and likely second/third shifts.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and insurance for deposits.
• Physical readiness for cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Minimum age 18+ years.
• Clear English communication and basic math skills.
• Willing to learn and take on new responsibilities.
• Certification in Food Safety or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Run the register with speed and accuracy while assisting customers.
• Coach and motivate team to upsell products and promotions.
• Hire, train, and lead a high-performing customer-service team.
• Act as manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep stock full.
• Maintain a clean store, including restrooms and pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules for full coverage.
• Perform daily cash handling and store deposits.
• Provide leadership that motivates the team to excel.
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Minimum Age Requirement: 18 + years old




• Communication Skills: Proficient in English with basic math skills.
