Job summary

GPM Investments is seeking an Assistant Manager for Store 3127 in Carolina Beach, NC. The role involves supporting daily operations, customer service, and team leadership in a fast-paced convenience-store environment.

The position requires open weekend/holiday availability, strong communication, and a Food Safety Certification. You will manage cash, inventory, and coaching to drive sales and store performance.

Qualifications

• Open availability to work weekends, holidays, and second/third shifts.
• Must have (or be able to obtain) Food Safety Certification.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Run the register and assist customers with speed, accuracy, and a positive attitude.
• Coach and motivate team members to upsell products and promotions.
• Hire, train, and lead a high-performing customer-service focused team.
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep the store stocked.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store including restrooms and pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules for full coverage.
• Perform daily cash handling, deposits, and oversee store financials.
• Provide leadership that motivates the team to excel.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum Age Requirement: 18+ years old.
• Communication Skills: Proficient in English with basic math skills.
• Willing to Learn.
