Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona is seeking a Site Operations Manager to oversee multiple Retail Donation Centers in the Glendale area. This role leads daily operations, guides teams, and drives growth while managing budgets and customer service standards.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily RDC operations and drive targeted growth.
• Control payroll and operating costs within budget.
• Ensure excellent donor and customer service.
• De-escalate customer situations and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with Donor Services to set strategic goals.
• Maintain clean, well-kept locations reflecting the Goodwill brand.
• Manage day-to-day RDC site operations and staffing.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across sites.
• Partner with Asset Protection, HR, Safety and Finance.
• Lead coaching, performance reviews, and staff development.

Position Description

Provides oversight, leadership and achievement of results for multiple Retail Donation Centers (RDC) for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities. Directs all aspects of daily operations; leading the team and driving the business. Provides leadership and general management skills for both short and long-term success. Key responsibilities include operations, financial management, human resources, and Team Member training & development. Builds and retains motivated high performing teams through effective leadership of line management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Executes operations plan to achieve required targeted growth in daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for Retail Donation Center's (RDC's).
• Ensures payroll costs and operating costs are managed to budget.
• Ensures Team Members deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• Works to de-escalate customer situations while finding an appropriate solution.
• Coordinates with the Manager of Donor Services to analyze, identify and execute strategic goals and objectives.
• Ensures locations are clean, well-kept, and reflect the Goodwill brand appropriately.
• Maintains the day-to-day operations of multiple RDC sites including managing and meeting team member and customer needs.
• Ensures that team members are operating per company standards and procedures relating to Security, Health and Safety; influences any changes necessary to meet statutory requirements, ensuring minimum risk to team members and the business.
• Partners with support areas (Asset Protection, Human Resources, Safety, Finance, etc.) to further business goals and ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Ensures that RDC Team Members are well-trained and fulfill their duties and responsibilities.
• Responsible for performance management (coaching, discipline, performance improvement plans, and annual reviews), staffing, compensation, and development of RDC Team Members.

• Plays critical role in driving company culture change efforts and change management processes.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• 3+ years supervisory experience required
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
