About the Role
The Assistant Manager is tasked with putting people first while collaborating with internal and external partners to build memorable hospitality experiences. You will be responsible for managing and executing the ZO program at multiple ZO spaces in New York City, targeting both tenant decision‑makers and their employees.
Responsibilities
- Take direction from the ZO global programming strategy, communicate ZO strategy to PMO markets, including all client services and daily events, to ensure client and visitor satisfaction.
- Create and execute tenant events and activations to improve tenant experience and engagement with ZO, working in conjunction with the ZO programming team to involve partners where appropriate, and coordinate with property management on event operations.
- Ensure continuous improvement in quality of client experiences by seeking feedback from clients on ZO programming and services; provide improvements accordingly.
- Develop and execute tenant communications related to the ZO program, both pre‑ and post‑ZO sign‑up, including email marketing and newsletters, app events, partner events, promotional events and activations.
- Oversee marketing collateral and strategy for activations and events.
- Work collaboratively with ZO service providers, programming partners, and vendors to ensure the quality of service.
- Work with ZO partners to ensure high‑quality service and review of the financial reporting.
- Demonstrate the six guiding Client Experience principles.
- Be well‑versed on all aspects of the key properties in stated markets, including all client services and daily events, to ensure client and visitor satisfaction.
- Report and document any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures to management immediately.
- Assist in executing reports of event logistics, and planning and forecasting for ZO with the Property Management Team.
- For Mailchimp and the CMS (back‑end of the app), review user engagement data in ZO IQ for each property and identify areas for improvement in both web and app.
- Seek to foster internal and external relationships that will assist in providing concierge‑type services as needed.
- Create special events to drive activation with building retailers.
- Maintain relationship with retailers with the ZO Perks program.
- Work closely with the central ZO team to refine product offering, create new opportunities and brainstorm ideas for building events.
- Direct internal and external marketing resources (Ad agencies, designers, printers, photographers and videographers) for the timely, on‑budget completion of marketing projects.
- Champion creative quality and cost‑control for all events and marketing.
- Serve as the key communication point between ZO, Property Management, guards and other 3rd‑party operations teams.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of hospitality and/or events and programming experience.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Self‑starter, detail‑orientated, self‑motivated, creative, highly‑organized, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Comfortable utilizing email marketing software (Mailchimp) and Tishman Speyer’s proprietary ZO app; basic computer literacy is required.
- Must be able to function independently, as well as collaboratively with other team members.
- Must be able to travel throughout New York City as needed and in between properties.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, automation, and data‑driven tools, to improve efficiency, enhance decision‑making, and drive innovation.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Onsite presence is required for this position.
Compensation & Benefits
The base compensation range for this role is $70,000–$75,000. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, as well as access to our comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) plan (with matching contributions), wellness benefits and all other benefits afforded to full‑time Tishman Speyer employees.
