It serves as a key link between frontline employees and upper management.**Primary Duties**The Assistant Manager, Production plays a critical role in overseeing manufacturing processes and supporting team performance. Responsibilities include:**Primary duties may include, but are not limited to**:* Assisting in the planning and coordination of production schedules to meet customer demand and inventory targets.* Supervising production staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and operational procedures.* Monitoring workflow and identifying areas for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains.* Collaborating with engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to resolve production issues.* Supporting training and development initiatives for production employees.* Ensuring compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental standards.* Participating in daily production meetings and reporting key metrics to management.* Leading by example to foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.**Job Requirements****Education and Experience Requirements:**Requires a high school diploma or GED. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, business management, or a related field is preferred.**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*** 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in HVAC or related industries.* Strong understanding of production planning, workflow optimization, and quality control.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems.* Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.**Essential Mental and Physical Functions:**This role requires sustained attention to detail, decision-making under pressure, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
