Job summary

Goose Creek Distribution Inc in Maryland is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager and help lead a team in daily restaurant operations.

You will train hourly staff, schedule shifts, handle customer inquiries, ensure safety and food handling standards, and drive profitability while maintaining compliance with policies and laws. This role requires weekend/holiday work, Serve Safe certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a pleasant experience for all customers, responds to customer complaints or inquiries.
• Ensures orders meet and exceed customers’ satisfaction.
• Assists with supervising the day-to-day task assignment and performance of team members.
• Assists with the management of all matters relating to team members – training and coaching.
• Assists with planning and preparing work schedules and coordinates daily assignments and activities of team members.
• Adheres to all city, county, and state regulations.
• Ensures execution of established safety, security, quality, and store operations policies, procedures and practices.
• Ensures standards on food preparation and handling.
• Prepares daily deposit.
• Completes daily paperwork and other reports.
• Conducts periodic inventories.
• Maintains a clean restaurant at all times.
• Ensures profitability.
• All situations must be avoided that may create a conflict of interest including outside employment in a similar business.
• All duties must be performed in a manner that is free from unlawful harassment.
• The Assistant Manager will be able and willing to perform all duties of a typical restaurant team member.

Position Summary

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager. He or she is also responsible to meet and/or exceed performance goals according to corporate objectives. These objectives include developing and training hourly team members.
