Huck’s Market in Jasper, IN is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to lead shifts, support the Store Manager, and ensure excellent customer service. The role involves managing daily operations, staffing, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Gives all customers prompt and courteous service, using the gasoline intercom to greet customers and adhere to Best In Class standards
• Observes shift operating hours and helps fill shifts as assigned by the Store Manager
• Works the store manager's days off and at least two evening shifts per week
• Performs tasks as assigned by the Store Manager
• Communicates effectively with store associates and management
• Follows federal, state, and local laws pertaining to store operation
• Provides a role model of conduct for associates
• Ensures Store Manager is informed of sales, cash, or operating discrepancies
• Ensures associates are in proper uniform and provide prompt, courteous service
• Completes shift change reports and records all hours worked
• Rings all sales and records over rings and refunds
• Completes daily paperwork and makes store deposits
• Treats all associates with dignity and respect and informs Store Manager of personnel issues
• Ensures security of cash and merchandise and vendor check-in procedures
• Keeps store inventory stocked and displays fronted
• Maintains equipment and reads high-margin products as directed by the Store Manager
• Uses correct pricing as listed on the policy manuals
• Maintains store appearance, floors, windows, and lot
• Keeps restrooms clean and reports maintenance issues
• Ensures safe lifting procedures and uses ladders properly
• Promotes Huck’s Bucks Loyalty app and assists customers in sign-up and usage
