Job summary

Eyeglass World is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations, support and motivate the team, and ensure customers receive quality eye care along with an exceptional shopping experience.

You will drive sales, balance staffing, supervise Optician/Sales Associates, coordinate with doctors, and ensure promotions and visual merchandising are current. National Vision offers competitive pay, benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Optical sales experience; supervising experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Solid understanding of store operations and success standards.
• Strong communication skills for managing teams.
• Ability to present clear information and respond to questions from managers, staff and customers.
• Strong organizational skills for planning and monitoring progress toward goals.
• Ability to analyze, create and understand financial reports; problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive and achieve profit, sales and performance goals according to National Vision standards.
• Monitor sales results against budgeted targets.
• Ensure all store associates provide the highest level of customer service.
• Maintain awareness of same-day service using the Ready When Promised board.
• Provide store reporting to the General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office.
• Develop and maintain relationships with doctors associated with the store.
• Ensure promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are current.
• Supervise and motivate Optician/Sales Associates and ensure daily tasks are completed.
• Assist the General Manager with staffing to store volume and in recruiting.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.

Job Description

What would you do? – The Specifics

• Drive and achieve profit, sales and performance goals according to National Visionstandards.
• Monitor sales results against budgeted.
• Ensure all store associates achieve and maintain the highest level of customer service.
• Maintain awareness of same day service using “Ready When Promised” production board.
• Communicate with the General Manger, District Manager, and Corporate Office and provide store reporting as required.
• Develop and maintain a good working relationship with doctor(s) associated with the store and serves as liaison between doctor and store personnel.
• Ensure store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are in place and all associates and doctors are aware of current promotions.
• Supervise and motivate Optician/Sales Associates and ensures the timely completion of day-to-day functions.
• Assist the General Manager with balancing staffing to store volume. Assist in recruiting, selecting and retaining a high caliber staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
