Job summary

National Vision, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager in Savannah, GA to oversee daily store operations, lead a team, and ensure customers receive quality eye care and a great shopping experience.

You will balance staffing, support promotions, and monitor performance to meet company standards. Ideal candidates have optical sales and supervisory experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to analyze financial reports.

Qualifications

• Experience in optical sales with supervisory duties preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication for management of teams.
• Solid organizational skills for planning and monitoring goals.
• Ability to analyze and understand financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations and assist in achieving sales targets.
• Supervise and motivate assistants and sales associates to meet performance standards.
• Balance staffing to store volume and assist in recruiting and retaining staff.
• Maintain customer service excellence and ensure brand standards.
• Communicate with GM, DM, and corporate office and provide store reporting.

• Drive and achieve profit, sales and performance goals according to National Visionstandards.
• Monitor sales results against budgeted.
• Ensure all store associates achieve and maintain the highest level of customer service.
• Maintain awareness of same day service using “Ready When Promised” production board.
• Communicate with the General Manger, District Manager, and Corporate Office and provide store reporting as required.
• Develop and maintain a good working relationship with doctor(s) associated with the store and serves as liaison between doctor and store personnel.
• Ensure store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are in place and all associates and doctors are aware of current promotions.
• Supervise and motivate Optician/Sales Associates and ensures the timely completion of day-to-day functions.
• Assist the General Manager with balancing staffing to store volume. Assist in recruiting, selecting and retaining a high caliber staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.

• Optical sales experience. Supervising experience is preferred.

• Strong organizational skills for planning work and continuously monitoring progress towards goals.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope.
