Job summary

National Vision, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager in Farmington, UT to oversee daily store operations, manage optical teams, and drive sales and customer satisfaction. You will ensure promotional execution, handle staffing needs, and maintain policy compliance.

The role requires experience in optical sales and supervisory capabilities, with a focus on coaching staff and delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (P&L).
• Oversee eyeglass department for efficiency and policy compliance.
• Ensure outstanding customer service and train associates to do the same.
• Review quality, remakes, and enforce policies for compliance.
• Communicate with GM, District Manager and Corporate Office; provide store reporting.
• Ensure promotions, advertising and visual merchandising are implemented.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates; manage day-to-day tasks.
• Assist GM with staffing forecasts, recruiting and retention of staff.
• Motivate staff to exceed performance standards.
• In some locations, responsibilities vary to meet licensing requirements.

Job Responsibilities

What would you do? – The Specifics

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (i.e. reviewing the P&L).
• Optimize and oversee the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines.
• Convey a commitment to providing outstanding customer service and ensure all associates do the same.
• Ensure quality standards are met. Review remakes and enforce policies to ensure compliance.
• Communicate with the General Manger, District Manager, and Corporate Office and provide store reporting as required.
• Ensure store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are in place and all associates and doctors are aware of current promotions.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates (in some stores the Receptionist) and ensures the timely completion of day-to-day functions.
• Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting and retaining a high caliber staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
• In some locations, state laws require certain responsibilities to be performed by individuals with specific licenses or credentials. Job duties and work practices may vary to meet these requirements.
