The Museum of Modern Art in New York is seeking an Assistant Manager, Operations to uphold MoMA’s standards and support the Museum Store across the Lobby, Store 2, and Store 6, including opening/closing, safeguarding staff and visitors, and achieving sales goals.
You will supervise staff, drive customer service excellence, participate in management meetings, and lead store partnership initiatives to boost revenue and guest satisfaction.
The Museum of Modern Art is accepting applications for an Assistant Manager, Operations who upholds MoMA’s standards and adheres to and applies Museum and Retail policies and procedures; supports a positive visitor experience by staying current on MoMA activities. Assists the Store Manager and fellow Assistant Store Managers with all aspects of running the Museum Store (Lobby), Museum Store on 2 and Museum Store on 6, including opening and closing the store, safeguarding MoMA staff, visitors, and assets; attending and contributing to retail management meetings; and participating in store partnership initiatives. Exhibits and upholds the highest customer service standards and contributes to achieving the store’s sales and metric goals. Manages, develops, and trains all store staff to maintain a professional and positive presence on the sales floor and deliver a knowledgeable, thoughtful, and inspiring customer service experience.
Salary: The salary range for this position is $65,000 – $72,000 per annum.
