APM Terminals Miami is seeking an experienced Assistant Operations Manager, Marine to ensure safe and efficient daily vessel operations. You will lead frontline teams, coordinate resources, and align with internal and external stakeholders to achieve productivity, safety, and service goals.
This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Maritime Studies, or a related field and 3–5 years in marine/terminal operations, with strong leadership and communication skills.

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Operations Manager, Marine to support the safe and efficient execution of daily vessel operations. This role is responsible for coordinating operational resources, leading frontline teams, and ensuring productivity, safety, compliance, and customer service objectives are achieved. Working closely with terminal operations teams and external stakeholders, the Assistant Operations Manager, Marine will play a vital role in driving operational excellence, supporting workforce planning, and ensuring smooth vessel operations in a dynamic port environment.

Continuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who brings a thoughtful improvement mindset—curious about how work gets done and motivated to make meaningful, sustainable improvements over time. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field preferred 3–5 years of progressive experience in marine, terminal, logistics, transportation, or port operations Strong understanding of container terminal and vessel operations, cargo handling processes, and terminal equipment Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and employee development capabilities Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a dynamic operational environment with variable shifts, including evenings and weekends Join us as we continue to shape the future of global trade and logistics.
