The Assistant Manager of Facilities (AMF) assists in the management of day-to-day operations of the college’s facilities. This includes, but is not limited to, overseeing the workflow of Maxwell Hall and Fifth Avenue. The AMF works with contractors to perform maintenance and repairs at all LIM College facilities. The AMF must possess exceptional organizational and managerial skills. The position requires a flexible schedule, which may include working weekends, holidays, nights, and being on-call 24/7. The AMF is responsible for communicating needed building repairs to the Manager of Facilities.
$58,000–$61,000 Annually
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred. Certifications in Fire Drill Conductor, Standpipe and Sprinkler Supervisor, and Supervisor of Interior Fire Alarm.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Skilled with power tools, handyman tasks, and detail-oriented. Familiar with Microsoft Office and capable of using other software applications.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Ability to identify problems, exercise sound judgment, and solve issues efficiently. Well-organized with project management skills. Able to work independently and collaboratively.
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Basic electrician, plumbing, carpentry, locksmith, painting skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, team management, and project coordination.
