Job summary

Family Dollar in Fort Lauderdale, FL seeks a dedicated store team member to support daily operations and customer service. You will assist with merchandise flow, restocking, and ensuring a clean, safe store environment while following corporate directives and maintaining display standards.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs as needed; prior retail or store management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical store duties.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas and secure assets.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff compliance.
