SalonCentric, a subsidiary of L'Oréal USA, is the premiere distributor of salon professional products in the United States. Through its stores, field sales force, and distribution network, it promotes top beauty brands and educates stylists on latest trends.

Job Summary

This role provides HR support, partnering with employees and leaders in retail stores and field sales teams. Responsibilities include employee relations, onboarding/offboarding, recruitment support, HRIS data management, and special projects. The role involves collaboration with field leadership and Store Managers to ensure compliance, foster a positive culture, and enhance employee engagement and retention.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Employee Relations: Handle employee lifecycle events, manage documentation, address performance issues, conduct investigations, and provide coaching.
  • Workforce Administration: Manage job requisitions, HRIS updates, and workforce planning in collaboration with leadership.
  • Onboarding/Offboarding: Develop job descriptions, manage I-9 verifications, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • Recruitment Support: Partner with Talent Acquisition, participate in interviews, and facilitate onboarding.
  • HRIS Data Management: Conduct audits, maintain employee data, and organizational charts.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to HR laws and policies.
  • Special Projects: HR data analytics, policy audits, and reporting.
Experience, Competencies & Physical Requirements
  • 1-3 years of HR experience in a generalist role, handling employee relations, coaching, and change management.
  • Knowledge of employment laws (Wage & Hour, LOA, EEO, ADA, workers' comp).
  • Proficiency in Office 365; experience with HRIS systems like SuccessFactors, Avature, ADP is a plus.
  • Strong relationship-building, coaching, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Understanding of HR principles, data management, and business acumen.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with capacity to sit and operate office equipment for extended periods, and lift up to 10 lbs.
