Job summary

Ace Parking is seeking an Assistant Hotel Operations Manager to oversee the valet drive’s daily operations and lead a team of valet attendants, collaborating with hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

You will recruit, train, schedule staff; uphold company values; maintain safety and equipment; and help monitor financial performance. Bachelor’s degree and 3 years in parking or hospitality management are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of parking or hospitality management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a high-end customer facing parking or Valet program.
  • Strong leadership and management skills a must.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy items (50 lbs).
  • Financial acumen is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day valet operations, ensuring adherence to established procedures and standards.
  • Assist with planning of personnel utilization, interview, selection, policy compliance, training oversight, supervision, performance review, and adherence to law/regulations.
  • Assist with implementing operational procedures to optimize efficiency and customer service.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and schedule valet attendants and support staff.
  • Hold team members accountable for their roles and responsibilities, providing regular performance feedback and conducting evaluations.
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability and exceptional customer service.
  • Assist with maintaining a safe environment for employees and guests, including vehicle safety and traffic control.
  • Assist with maintenance and upkeep of valet equipment and signage.
  • Assist with ensuring cleanliness and appearance of the valet parking area.
  • Assist with monitoring location’s financial performance and labor costs.
  • Assist with identifying opportunities for revenue growth via promotions or pricing.
  • Assist with tracking key performance metrics for operations and service.
  • Accountable for meeting or exceeding established performance targets.
  • Assist with training and motivating valet staff to provide exceptional service.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure guests receive exceptional service and address concerns effectively.
  • Foster clear communication within the valet team and with other departments.
  • Coordinate with hotel management for seamless guest experience.
  • In manager’s absence, conduct staff meetings to relay information and gather input.
  • Create a positive, supportive work environment and promote teamwork.

About The Position

As an assistant hotel operations manager, you will be responsible for assisting all aspects of the valet drive’s daily operations to ensure a seamless guest experience. You will assist with the management of a team of valet parking attendants and work closely with other departments within the hotel to ensure high standards of service and guest satisfaction.   • Assist with the planning of personnel utilization, interview, and selection, policy compliance, training oversight, supervision, performance review, and adherence to all laws and regulations.
  • Assist with implementing operational procedures to optimize efficiency and customer service.
