Job summary

Shoe Sensation, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead our store sales team, drive customer experiences, and grow within the company. This role combines selling shoes with leadership duties, including recruiting, training, and coaching the team.

You will participate in opening/closing, supervise daily operations, and ensure deposits are handled properly while maintaining a high-energy, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and have personal transportation to take deposits to the bank.
• Want to teach others how to sell and learn how to be a people manager.
• Willing to open/close the store, knowing that there may be times that you are alone in the store.
• Willing and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Can kneel, twist, bend, climb a ladder, reach, stoop and lift 25–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and guide them through shopping experiences.
• Sell shoes, apparel, and accessories to customers.
• Ring up sales, handle payments, and apply discounts.
• Help restock the sales floor and keep store neat.
• Assist the Store Manager with recruiting, hiring, and training the team.
• Coach and discipline the sales team and lead the team for optimal customer experience.
• Prepare deposits and make deposits at the bank.
• Process freight and set up the sales floor as shipments arrive.

What you will do:

• Help re-stock the sales floor.
• Keep things neat and clean in the store.
• Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, and training the store sales team.
• Assist with coaching and discipline of the store sales team.
• Lead the rest of the team to ensure the best customer sales experience.
• Prepare deposit and make deposits at the bank.
• Process freight and set the sales floor as it arrives.
