Job summary

Shoe Sensation, Inc. in Hutchinson, MN is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a growing sales team and deliver exceptional customer service in a busy retail setting.

You will train and coach staff, assist with recruiting, and manage deposits while ensuring the store runs smoothly and sales goals are met. This role offers growth within a company that values internal promotion.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and personal transportation to take deposits to the bank.
• Willing to open/close the store and work solo at times.
• Ability to stand and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and guide their shopping experience.
• Sell shoes, apparel, and accessories to customers.
• Ring up sales, process payments, discounts, and receipts.
• Help re-stock the sales floor.
• Assist the Store Manager with recruiting, hiring, and training the sales team.
• Assist with coaching and discipline of the store sales team.
• Lead the team to ensure the best customer sales experience.
• Prepare deposits and make bank deposits.
• Process freight and set the sales floor as items arrive.

What you will do:

• Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, and training the store sales team.

• Lead the rest of the team to ensure the best customer sales experience.
• Prepare deposit and make deposits at the bank.
• Process freight and set the sales floor as it arrives.

What you need:

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and have personal transportation to take deposits to the bank.
• Want to teach others how to sell and learn how to be a people manager.
• Willing to open/close the store, knowing that there may be times that you are alone in the store.
• Willing and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Can kneel, twist, bend, climb a ladder, reach, stoop and lift 25-50 pounds.
