Shoe Sensation, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team in a people-focused leadership role. This position blends selling shoes with managing and developing the sales team, embedding a culture of great customer service and internal promotion opportunities.

The role emphasizes hands-on coaching, store operations, and ensuring a high-quality shopping experience for customers while supporting growth and career advancement within the company.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and transportation to run deposits.
• Ability to teach others how to sell and develop people management skills.
• Willing to open/close the store and work alone at times.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods; capable of kneeling, twisting, bending, climbing a ladder, reaching, stooping and lifting 25–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and guide their shopping experience.
• Sell shoes, apparel, and accessories to customers.
• Ring up sales, process payments, and apply discounts.
• Restock the sales floor and keep area neat and clean.
• Assist the Store Manager with recruiting, hiring, and training the sales team.
• Assist with coaching and disciplinary actions for the team.
• Lead the team to ensure the best customer sales experience.
• Prepare deposits and make bank deposits.
• Process freight and set the sales floor as shipments arrive.

What you will do:

• Greet our customers and guide them through their shopping experience.

• Ring up sales in computer, take cash/run credit cards/do discounts, etc.
• Help re-stock the sales floor.
• Keep things neat and clean in the store.
• Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, and training the store sales team.
• Assist with coaching and discipline of the store sales team.
• Lead the rest of the team to ensure the best customer sales experience.
• Prepare deposit and make deposits at the bank.
