Job summary

CEC Entertainment is seeking an Assistant Manager in Springfield, IL to lead a high-energy team and ensure every guest leaves happy. You’ll manage scheduling, training, and guest service while driving sales and maintaining safety and quality across kitchens, showroom, and gameroom.

This role offers $17.33–$19.25 hourly with commission potential for Memberships and Fun Passes, plus a competitive benefits package and opportunities for growth within the family entertainment brand.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 40 hours a week.
• Must be at least 21 years of age (RVP approval may allow hiring at the age permitted by local law).
• Minimum of one year of experience managing people, preferably in food service OR experience as Opening Coordinator for at least six months.

Responsibilities

• Make daily decisions that involve time management, staff scheduling, cleanliness and upholding product and guest service standards.
• Build sales and maximize profits by effectively recruiting, training, developing and motivating your team to meet company and guest expectations.
• Coach and inspire the team to deliver outstanding guest service and ensure a safe, clean, and run environment.
• Understand cost control procedures, inventory, financials, and labor management.
• Take ownership of an AOI in one of four areas and over time, complete a rotation in each of the following areas: The Kitchen – manage product ordering, food safety, scheduling, and cleanliness; Sales – oversee Cashier, Salad Bar and Gift Shop; Showroom – lead birthday party execution; Gameroom – partner with Tech Manager to keep games in top condition.
