Job Objective

To manage the daily operations of a fast-paced retail store, ensuring smooth and efficient processes across all areas, including customer service, inventory management, and sales. The role is focused on creating a positive and welcoming shopping experience for customers while maintaining a productive work environment for staff. This position reports to the Store Manager who evaluates performance annually. Essential Job Functions
  • Participate in recruitment by identifying and hiring qualified candidates to build a diverse team.
  • Develop and implement training to ensure staff are well-versed in policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
  • Monitor employee performance, providing feedback and coaching for growth and accountability.
  • Take disciplinary actions when necessary to maintain standards.
  • Supervise store operations, including managing inventory, merchandising, sales floor, and customer service.
  • Ensure departments collaborate to meet business goals and provide an exceptional shopping experience.
  • Establish safety protocols to maintain a secure environment.
  • Monitor security risks like theft and shoplifting, and take proactive measures.
  • Maintain communication with the Store Manager regarding operations and staff performance.
  • Participate in meetings and develop corrective action plans for operational issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Education And Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or ability to obtain through The Excel Center.
  • Strong supervisory skills with ability to motivate and hold team accountable.
  • Ability to foster a positive work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Skilled in resolving customer concerns and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance for travel.
Qualifications
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Flexible availability including nights and weekends.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs, and using office/light industrial equipment.
