Responsibilities for Assistant Manager

  • Work directly with Operations manager.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of employees to ensure safe and effective operations.
  • Clean and service aircraft interiors, including cabin, cockpit, galleys, and lavatories.
  • Prepare the cabin for customer boarding and departure, including cleaning seats, seat pockets, floors, galleys, and lavatories.
  • Handle, assemble, remove, and install passenger service cabin furnishings and supplies according to specifications, ensuring all areas are thoroughly cleaned and free of dirt, debris, marks, fingerprints, etc.
  • Assist ramp agents after cabin cleaning is complete.
  • Perform FOD walks in the ramp area between flights.
  • Ensure ground equipment is available in the ramp area and bag room for upcoming flights.
  • Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance instructions, hazardous materials labels, loading manifests, and baggage routing tags.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, within the skill and experience level expected for this position.

Qualifications:

  • Four or more years of relevant experience.
  • Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, and in small spaces.
  • Eligible for security clearances after a criminal background check.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Extended hours may be required to meet business needs.
  • Capable of working in cramped or elevated spaces.
  • Ability to carry heavy items, including up and down jetway stairs.
  • Must be able to carry and operate a 13+ lb. backpack vacuum.
