Job summary

Universal Health Services’ Horsham Clinic is seeking an Assistant Manager of Dietary/Food Services to join our team. This role assists the Dietary Manager in coordinating all activities of the Dietary Services Department, ensuring nutritious meals for patients and staff, and maintaining a sanitary environment.

You will help monitor inventories, assist with purchasing, and support staff scheduling, payroll, and interviews. Collaboration with nursing and clinical teams is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field preferred.
• Registered Dietitian or Certified Dietary Manager a plus.
• Food Handler's certificate required.
• Five (5) years of demonstrated responsible food service experience with at least two (2) years in a management/supervisory role in a Joint Commission Accredited hospital, 50 beds or more, a plus.
• May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.

What You'll Do (Position Description)

The Assistant Dietary Manager is responsible for assisting the Manager in managing and coordinating all activities of the Dietary Services Department. This includes providing nutritional and attractive meals for patients and facility employees, maintaining an organized and sanitary environment, monitoring supply inventories and purchasing of food and supplies as required, ensuring proper storage of food and supplies and assist with managing an effective Dietary staff. The Assistant Dietary Manager is responsible for the serving of meals for patients and facility staff in accordance with approved menu cycles and production sheets.
