Job summary

Ziggi’s Coffee, LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager in Derby, Kansas. This proactive leader will work with the General Manager to uphold operational excellence, support staff development, and foster a positive store culture focused on coffee and people.

With a guest-centric mindset, you will balance accountability and teamwork, stepping into any role as needed, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and strong team performance.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months of leadership experience in a coffee shop, café, or similar fast-paced setting (Ziggi’s experience preferred).
• Strong grasp of daily store operations, drink quality standards, and service fundamentals.
• Able to lead by example, give and receive feedback, and step into any role as needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the General Manager to lead the team and maintain day-to-day operations.
• Support new hire onboarding, hands-on training, and continual team development.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive work environment that prioritizes guest experience and team well-being.
• Communicate consistently and clearly with the General Manager, store owners, and team members.
• Execute administrative duties including ordering inventory, preparing deposits, and entering invoices.
• Assist in upholding health, safety, and cleanliness standards across the store.
• Step into leadership during GM absences and serve as a reliable decision-maker on shift.
