Job summary

ACE Parking is seeking an Assistant Manager in Tacoma, WA to support parking operations across locations. The role includes supervising staff, training, scheduling, and coordinating with property managers to ensure policy adherence and guest satisfaction.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and at least one year of supervisory experience, with a flexible schedule that includes weekends and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
  • One-year supervisory experience required.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, and must be available to work weekends.
  • Must be able to meet Motor Vehicle Requirements (MVR) guidelines.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
  • Demonstrate exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of and working skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up-to 25lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that parking policies and procedures meet expectations and standards while maximizing profitability and minimizing financial exposure.
  • Assisting in the management of team members including hiring, training, coaching, and counseling to ensure performance standards are met across locations.
  • Assisting in planning and directing special event activities and coordinating with Supervisors and Directors as required.
  • Responding to and resolving guest or visitor complaints, vehicle claims and service discrepancies.
  • Maintaining ongoing communication with property management, Site Manager, customers, and guests.
  • Keeping Site Manager informed of management concerns and resolving issues promptly in their absence.
  • Conducting shift briefings and staff meetings to ensure a consistent flow of information.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment and directing staff in equipment use.
  • Handling call-offs and assisting with scheduling when necessary.
  • Diagnosis and preventive care maintenance.

Schedule: 5:00am - 1:30pm Monday - Friday

About the Position:

  • Maintaining continual communication with property management, Site Manager, customers, and guests.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing team members on the use of equipment and resources.

  • The Parking Manager is responsible for ensuring the parking policies and procedures meet expectations and the management of team members including, being an integral part by assisting in the hiring, training, coaching and counseling processes, to ensure that performance standards are met.

  • Effective communication is vital for the Assistant Manager role. They must maintain constant communication property management, site manager, customers, and guests.
