Indiana University Health is seeking an Assistant Manager of Clinical Operations at Methodist Hospital to lead clinical operations with a focus on quality, safety, and patient experience. The role collaborates with the unit Manager to implement action plans and drive excellence in care delivery.

This nursing leadership position requires a BSN, an active RN license in Indiana (or NLC), and BLS certification, with responsibilities spanning staffing, 24/7 operations, and professional practice

Qualifications

• BSN degree is required.
• Active RN license in Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• BLS certification required; other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department policies.

Monday through Friday, first and second shift. Position requires flexibility for occasional weekend coverage and after-hours phone availability to support operational needs.

Position Overview:

The Assistant Manager of Clinical Operations combines clinical expertise with contemporary leadership practices aligned with the IU Health Way to achieve outstanding clinical and organizational outcomes. This role partners with the unit Manager to develop and execute action plans focused on quality and safety improvements, care affordability, and enhancing patient and team member experiences. The incumbent leads the implementation of these plans, analyzes their effectiveness, and fosters an environment where the interprofessional team is empowered to reach excellence. The role promotes evidence-based practices, professional nursing standards, and supports nursing practice advancement. The Assistant Manager is a member of the unit leadership team, overseeing operations staffing 24/7, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Licensure & Certifications:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Additional advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department policies.
