Las Vegas, Nevada-based MGM Resorts International is seeking a Restaurant Assistant Manager for Avenue Café inside MGM Grand. You will lead daily restaurant operations, supervise staff, and create a warm guest-focused atmosphere on the Las Vegas Strip.

The role emphasizes coordination with chefs and management, maintaining inventory and ensuring high dining standards, while delivering WOW moments for guests and large parties.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in hospitality or food & beverage supervisory roles.
• 3+ years in F&B supervisory/managerial positions preferred.
• Working knowledge of culinary union contracts preferred.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Create daily floor plans per shift to ensure proper station rotation and coverage.
• Supervise dining room service during hours of operation.
• Conduct employee evaluations and address attendance issues.
• Coordinate with the Chef on menu and service-related issues.
• Communicate with management, chefs and staff to fulfill guest needs.
• Place orders via IP System and create purchase requisitions from warehouses/outlets.
• Maintain inventory forms and stocking areas up to date.
• Inspect incoming food for freshness and quality.
• Engage guests for special requests and large party bookings.

THE JOB:

As the Restaurant Assistant Manager at Avenue Café inside MGM Grand , you will play a key leadership role in delivering exceptional dining experiences in one of the most iconic destinations on the Las Vegas Strip. Leading daily restaurant operations, you will inspire and support your team while creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for every guest. By anticipating needs, building genuine connections, and showcasing a passion for hospitality, you will turn everyday moments into unforgettable experiences and create WOW memories that extend far beyond each guest's visit.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• - Make daily floor plans per shift to ensure proper rotation and coverage of stations
• - Supervise floor service in dining rooms during hours of operation
• - Perform employee evaluations and manage issues related to attendance records
• - Maintain communication with the Chef on all food service and menu issues
• - Communicate with management, chefs and culinary staff in order to fulfill and address issues or needs requested by guests and employees
• - Order supplies through the IP System and Purchasing; prepare purchase requisitions for any outlets from the warehouse or support departments
• - Keep inventory form and stocking area updated
• - Inspect food coming from support departments to assure freshness and quality
• - Maintain direct communication with guests for special requests and large party reservations

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• - 21+ years of age or older
• - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
• - 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience
• - 3+ years of relevant food and beverage experience in a supervisory or management role preferred
• - Working knowledge of Culinary Union contracts preferred
• - Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
