Summary:

This position supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of the LIRR Asset Information System, including integration with GIS and other systems. Responsibilities include asset model development, GIS configuration, data migration, and system troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in defining data/information needs, asset hierarchy, and GIS-related information.
2. Support the implementation and testing of Bently Asset Wise system and mobile applications for GIS data collection and asset management.
3. Develop Asset Information System Business & Functional Requirements, coordinate sessions, and document results.
4. Guide and assist with data migration to new systems, ensuring data quality and completeness.
5. Provide technical support for applications, data queries, and reporting.
6. Ensure safety policies are followed and lead by example.
7. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Geography, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of asset management or information systems experience.
• Knowledge of corporate information systems, GIS, and data analysis techniques.
• Strong communication, computer, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ArcGIS, Asset Wise, and regulatory standards.
• Knowledge of rail operations and data standards.

Additional Information:

Selection may include assessments and interviews. Candidates must meet work history and attendance standards. Medical and drug tests may be required.
