Job summary

Commercial Tire Inc in Caldwell, ID seeks an Assistant Manager Level 2 to oversee a portion of store operations and lead staff under the Store Manager, driving sales and profitability while upholding the Commercial Tire image.

This exempt, full-time role reports to the Store Manager and requires 4+ years in tires, a valid license, and a preferred business degree. Responsibilities include training, scheduling, customer service, and safety adherence.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years related experience in the tire industry.
  • Valid Driver’s License and driving record
  • 2–4-year college degree in business or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all employees attend monthly safety meetings and comply with company safety goals.
  • Trains and supervises employee’s work. Assigns work schedules and specific work duties and resolves employee grievances and discipline.
  • Knowledgeable in all facets of a store environment.
  • Completes accounting functions daily (invoices, re-bills, End-of-Days, night deposits, inventory receipts) per company policy.
  • Coordinates and conducts product knowledge training; ensures on-the-job training programs are applied; and attends and participates in training workshops as directed by the Store Manager and/or outlined in the company training program.
  • Assists manager with annual sales and gross profit objectives and is responsible for achieving in their assigned area of the store.
  • Maintains the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction. Communicates the importance of customer service to all employees and ensures timely resolution of customer complaints.
  • Ensures all work expected of the location is completed.
  • Ensures safety, store hours, store cleanliness and personnel issues all fall within the guidelines of company policy
  • Knowledge in all facets of store operations.
  • Provides customers with knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt service while sensitive to their needs.
  • Champions safe work practices and Commercial Tire’s safety guidelines and standards.
  • Identifies new sales opportunities and obtains Sales and Gross Profit goals in assigned categories
  • Supports and promotes operational compliance scores for company audits (Operational and Safety).
  • Supports and promotes Commercial Tire Safety standards and in shop vehicle inspection process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION OVERVIEW - Position located in Caldwell, ID

Manages a portion of the store operations based on Store Manager’s direction according to company policies and procedures; ensures the store operates in a manner which optimizes sales and profitability and reflects a consistent Commercial Tire image to its customers. This position is responsible for all employee management functions for store area of responsibility, to include hiring, discipline, employee relations, employee time approval and employee scheduling.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure all employees attend monthly safety meetings and comply with company safety goals, which include reporting of accidents and completing required documentation.
  • Trains and supervises employee’s work. Assigns work schedules and specific work duties and resolves employee grievances and discipline.
  • Knowledgeable in all facets of a store environment.
  • Completes accounting functions daily (invoices, re-bills, End-of-Days, night deposits, inventory receipts) per company policy.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL FUNCTIONS
Physical Demands:
  • Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and walking on uneven surfaces
  • Frequent lifting/carrying: up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for grasping and dexterity
  • Constant visual, auditory, and verbal communication required
  • Frequent exposure to noise, dirt, dust, mechanical vibration, fumes, and outdoor conditions
  • Occasional work in extreme heat/cold or wet/humid environments
  • Occasional hazards due to mechanical equipment, moving objects.
Equipment Operated:
  • Company-provided software and system for work orders and inventory
  • Tire machines, compressors, air tools and hand tools
  • Required to use protective gear (PPE)
