Job summary

Subway is seeking an Assistant Manager to focus on guest experience, food preparation, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming restaurant environment. You will oversee shifts, manage a small team, and help plan promotions while ensuring proper inventory and ordering processes.

The role requires strong communication, prior supervisory restaurant experience, and basic computer skills. Training will be provided, and shift options vary by location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Must be an excellent communicator; basic computer knowledge is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a staff of 4–12, including assigning and evaluating work.
• Assist in planning events and promotions, coordinating necessary training.

PREREQUISITES

In addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successful
• Assisting with product ordering and inventory as needed

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
