Job summary

Bubble Down Car Wash is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead our North Tampa Region sites (Wesley Chapel and North Tampa). You will support daily operations, drive customer-focused service, and boost membership sales through coaching and hands-on leadership.

The role requires 1–2 years of leadership in a customer-facing setting, strong communication, and the ability to manage a busy, outdoor environment with weekend/evening availability. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of leadership experience in a customer-facing role.
• Strong leadership and communication to motivate a team.
• Passion for customer service and sales, with upselling experience.
• Able to work outdoors and in varying weather.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Must pass criminal background and MVR checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Manager in daily operations.
• Lead by example in customer service and guide customers through the wash.
• Coach staff on customer interactions and membership sales.
• Train and develop staff to Bubble Down standards.
• Ensure safe, clean, welcoming environment.
• Monitor equipment and coordinate maintenance.
• Stay on-site and perform hands-on leadership.
• Occasionally drive a company or personal vehicle for errands.

What You'll Do

• Assist the Site Manager in daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient site performance
• Lead by example in customer service - guide customers through the wash, resolve issues, and build loyalty
• Coach team members on delivering great customer interactions and converting them into membership sales
• Train, coach, and develop staff to uphold Bubble Down's high standards
• Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both customers and staff
• Monitor equipment and coordinate maintenance as needed
• Stay actively engaged on-site - this is a hands-on leadership role
• Occasionally drive a company vehicle or your own personal vehicle to run basic site errands (e.g., picking up supplies) as needed

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• 1-2 years of leadership experience in a customer-facing role (retail, hospitality, or service industry preferred)
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate a high-performing team
• Passion for customer service and sales, with proven experience in upselling or membership growth
• Adaptability to outdoor work environments and varying weather conditions
• Basic computer proficiency (POS systems, Microsoft Office, etc.)
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs+ as needed
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record - this role occasionally requires driving a company or personal vehicle to run site errands (e.g., supply runs)
• Must pass a criminal background check and MVR check - this role requires driving

Preferred

• Prior management experience in a service or retail environment
• Experience with POS systems and troubleshooting

Compensation

$19.00 - $24.00 hourly, plus commission opportunities tied to membership sales.

Background Check

This position requires a criminal history check and a motor vehicle record (MVR) check, conducted under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and applicable state law. Results are reviewed individually against the responsibilities of the role.
