Job summary

Stewart's Shops in New York and Vermont is seeking an Assistant Manager with a flexible schedule to provide excellent customer service in our shops. This entry-level management role helps develop leadership skills and offers a path to growth within the company.

Ideal candidates may have food service or retail experience. The position is full-time, with opportunities to advance to roles such as Shop Trainer or Manager, and includes an ESOP and benefits package, plus employee discounts and a fun,

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or retail preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service oriented with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Effectively run a shop in the manager's absence.
• Assist shop partners and customers with questions and concerns.
• Maintain knowledge of Stewart's operations, tools and culture.
• Teach others by example and create a positive atmosphere.
• Assist with schedule writing and requests.
• Prepare food items such as pastries, sandwiches, wraps, hot dogs, burgers, pizzas and other Quick & Easy options.
• Make coffee and keep multiple flavor options fresh.
• Scoop and serve ice cream.
• Process customer transactions through the register.
• Stock shelves, cooler, and freezer.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside of the shop.
• Promote shop promotions to customers.

• Maintain standards of cleanliness inside and outside of the shop.
• Be aware of shop promotions and communicate them with customers.

• $19 - $23/hour starting pay based on experience. ESOP & Benefits package.
