Job summary

Planet Fitness home to a welcoming, Judgement Free experience, seeks an Assistant Manager in Villa Park, IL to lead club operations and empower a high-performing team. You will ensure a superior member experience while coordinating daily tasks and maintaining standards.

In collaboration with the General Manager, you’ll recruit, train, and schedule staff, resolve member needs, and uphold safety and quality across shifts.

Qualifications

• At least one year of management experience required.
• Fitness, retail or hospitality experience strongly preferred.
• Associate’s degree in Exercise Science, Business, Kinesiology, or similar degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Club's daily operations and ensure a positive member experience.
• Lead a team to achieve club productivity and customer service goals.
• Assist with recruitment, hiring and training to keep the club fully staffed.

To work productively as part of a team and to motivate and inspire the team to achieve club productivity and customer service goals. To follow all Company standards, ensuring that the work shift contributes to the financial best interests of the Club, ensuring the individual and collective skills of the team are utilized effectively, and both the staff and member experience is positive.The Assistant Manager will assist with recruitment, hiring and training in order to ensure that the club is fully staffed at all times.Ensures excellence in Company Customer Service/Member Service at all times by consistently creating a welcoming environment for the members by greeting and assisting, as well as quickly responding to member inquires and needs.Requirements:At least one year of management experience required.
